How can I schedule an appointment with Claire?

Appointments can be scheduled by email, phone (613-204-4400) or online. I would be happy to have a brief telephone conversation (free of charge) to answer any questions and help you determine if my services are appropriate for you.

How long are the appointments?

Each appointment is 55 minutes.

What are the fees?

$190 per appointment. HST is not charged on psychotherapy services offered by social workers. Fees can be paid by e-transfer.

Are the fees covered by most insurance companies and/or tax deductible? 

Fees are covered by most extended health insurance plans. I encourage you to consult your insurance provider before attending your appointment to verify your coverage (including whether they cover services offered by a social worker, the amount available to you for therapy, and the percentage of the appointment fee covered). Your insurance provider may require you to have a referral from your doctor for psychotherapy. Receipts for amounts not covered by insurance can be submitted to CRA for tax deduction. 

What is the cancellation policy?

24 hours notice is required to cancel an appointment without a fee. When an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the full session fee will be charged.

Who should I contact in a crisis?

In case of medical emergency, visit your nearest hospital emergency department or call 9-1-1. If you are having an emotional crisis, and you want to speak to someone immediately, contact:
